Effective and last updated: October 2026
This policy covers gawaterdamage.com. GA Water Damage is a free referral service that connects callers in Georgia with independent local water damage restoration providers; it is not a contractor. The site does two things: it publishes information, and it prints a phone number. The policy below follows those two activities.
Call the number on this page to be connected with an independent local provider.
The service behind this policy
In this policy, “the operator” means the business that runs the GA Water Damage website, and “provider” means an independent restoration business that takes a call placed from the site. Providers are separate companies. They are not employees, agents or branches of the operator, and each one handles personal information under its own privacy practices.
Calls made from this site
The number on the site is a call-forwarding number run by a third-party call-routing provider. When you call it, the call is passed to a network that connects you with a participating independent provider. As with any phone call, the companies carrying it receive the number you are calling from, along with the date, time and length of the call. A record of those details may also be available to the operator.
Calls may be handled, and may be recorded, by the third-party call-routing providers and by the provider you reach, under their own policies. If that matters to you, ask at the start of the call. Anything you tell the provider, such as your name, the property address or details of the damage, goes to that provider directly.
Keep the call to what the job needs
A provider needs the address, the source of the water and a way to reach you. There is no reason to give payment card or bank details to be connected, and this site never asks for them.
Pages viewed on this site
The site is hosted in the United States and sits behind Cloudflare, a network and security service. Like most websites, it processes technical data when a page is requested: the IP address, the browser and device type, the page asked for, the date and time, and the page that linked to it. This data is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and block abuse.
The site sets no advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set cookies that are strictly needed for security, such as telling real visitors from automated traffic. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies, and the pages can still be read. If you visit from outside the United States, this data is processed in the United States.
Messages sent to the operator
If you write to the contact address shown on the site, the operator receives your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you put in the message. It is used to read and answer the message, for example to fix an error you report or to act on a privacy request.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to connect a caller with a provider, to answer messages sent to the operator, to run and protect the website, and to correct errors on it. It is shared with the call-routing providers that carry the call, with the provider who takes the call, and with the hosting and network companies that keep the site online.
Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, for example in answer to a valid court order. The operator is not a party to anything you later agree with a provider, and has no control over how that provider keeps or uses what you give it.
Questions about a job go to the provider; call to be connected.
Links to other websites
Pages on this site link to public sources such as state agencies, city and county offices and federal bodies. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
Children
The site is written for adults who own, rent or manage property. It is not directed to children under 13, and the operator does not knowingly collect personal information from them. A parent or guardian who believes a child has given information through the site can ask for it to be removed using the contact page.
Choices open to you, and contact
You can ask what information the operator holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send the request through the contact GA Water Damage page and say which phone number or date the request relates to, so the right record can be found.
The operator can act only on records it holds itself. For information held by a provider you spoke with, or by a call-routing company, the request has to go to that business under its own policy.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it took effect and was last updated, and the current version is always the one on this page. The terms of use set out the limits of the service, and the GA Water Damage home page describes what it covers.
For water damage in Georgia, call the number on this page to reach an independent local provider.
